Insight into the development and future of sales and marketing at CSP
Sergej, what made you accept the position of Head of Sales & Marketing at CSP?
After twelve years in sales, during which I was also responsible for some marketing, it was always my goal to combine both areas and manage them as a team. When the opportunity arose to take on the position of Head of Sales & Marketing, I accepted immediately. It was the perfect opportunity to combine my experience and develop it further in an area that I really enjoy. I still enjoy this challenge and it motivates me every day.
What is your vision for the sales and marketing department at CSP?
We strive for long-term partnerships in which we not only acquire our customers, but also retain them in the long term. This requires a strong, well-coordinated sales and marketing team that works hand in hand to maintain and develop these relationships.
What strategies are you pursuing to increase CSP's brand awareness and sales?
Visibility and trust form the basis of our strategy. We rely on valuable content to make ourselves visible to our target group and build trust. Because trust inevitably leads to sales. When our customers trust our solutions, sales practically generate themselves. It is crucial that we continuously invest in the right visibility, be it through content marketing or performance marketing, in order to address the target group in a targeted manner.
What have been the biggest challenges you've faced since joining CSP and how have you overcome them?
The biggest challenge was understanding processes in a new company, establishing new structures and at the same time maintaining existing good processes. Adapting and optimizing the processes was a big challenge.
How has the market changed in recent years and how is CSP adapting to these changes?
The market has changed significantly due to increasing digitalization. While the sales force used to rely primarily on cold calling and telephone calls, sales is now increasingly digital. This means that marketing strategies have also adapted: Today, we are increasingly relying on digital channels, social media and data-driven marketing. This allows us to reach our target groups in a targeted manner and support them at the right stage of the purchasing process by addressing them in the right way.
Which current trends in sales and marketing do you see as particularly relevant for the manufacturing industry?
The most important trend in the manufacturing industry is the use of data. Data-driven marketing enables us to better understand customer needs and offer customized solutions. Our software solutions work intensively with data to optimize quality assurance and make processes more efficient. This is the key to retaining our customers in the long term and achieving sustainable success.
What innovations or changes could drive CSP forward?
I see great potential in increased smart product development. The software must be constantly developed further in order to meet changing requirements. Innovation arises above all in close contact with our customers. By understanding their needs and developing solutions together, we can create products that offer real added value and further strengthen CSP's competitiveness.
How do you promote collaboration between the sales and marketing teams in order to achieve common goals?
Regular exchanges and close coordination are essential for successful collaboration. I see Sales, Marketing and Internal Sales as a team that works together to achieve our common goals. We have found that regular meetings and open communication lead to better transparency and a better understanding of the respective tasks. This allows us to simplify processes and align everyone towards a common goal.
Where do you see our company in the next five years and what contribution would you like to make?
In the next five years, I would like to see CSP not only as the market leader in the automotive industry in the field of quality assurance, but also as a trendsetter in other sectors such as mechanical engineering, aviation and medical technology. I want to help us realize this vision through continuous innovation and even closer customer loyalty. As a team, we work every day to make CSP a leading provider in various areas.
